Our Collective Kitchen program meets the 4th Monday of each month. It is an opportunity for people to gather together and enjoy social time while we cook delicious meals to take home and reheat. The registration cost of $5.00 can be subsidized if needed and provides each participant with 4 servings of a casserole, a soup, stew or chili, and a baked good. Everyone is welcome. The South Huron Free Community Meals program offers a free hot supper the 3rd Sunday of each month from 5:00-6:00 pm at various locations around Exeter. Free Community Christmas Dinner and celebration is held on Christmas Day. Doors open at 2:00 pm for an afternoon of games, bingo, music and gifts followed by a hot turkey dinner. Last year more than 160 people came to celebrate with us. Everyone is welcome. Location varies.
Our benevolent program provides care packages and grocery cards to families in our community who are experiencing hard times. This program is administered through the office and supported by the Christian Development and Outreach Committee. Birthday in a bag packages are available to help families celebrate with their children. Each bag contains a cake mix, icing, candles, decorations and party supplies for 8 children. Contact the office for more information
Many community groups use the church for meetings and activities including Alcoholics Anonymous, Alanon, Narcotics Anonymous, Counselling services, Supervised Access and Visitation, Canadian Mental Health Association, Salvation Army Youth Justice Program, and Friendship. Check the calendar for dates and times.
Our membership and visitation committee oversees the teleministry and visitation teams who connect with members of the congregation and visit with individuals who are shut in or have experienced illness or loss. Please call the church office if you know of anyone who would like a visit.
Our church has adopted a foster child. Our Sunday School program raises money for the sponsorship and keeps in touch. He is Yahouza Balla from West Africa.
